A TEACHERS KLUB

A teacher's klub is an advanced training series in the framework of explore dance - network dance for young audiences for teachers already working in dance at schools. The choreographer and dancer Teresa Hoffmann presents elements of her choreographic work on seven dates. Inspired by the poem what the coral said by the poet Alexis Pauline Gumbs, the participants will develop a language of dance improvisation that can be incorporated into dance and theatre classes. Based on observations of movement phenomena, group improvisations will emerge. These form the
basis for the score of a performance at the end of the training. The training series builds on each other with practical meetings where the participants actively generate, test, phrase and choreograph movement material in order to be able to transfer their own dance experience to the classroom.

Teresa Hoffmann

first studied psychology in Würzburg and New York, then performance studies in Hamburg. She works as a dancer, choreographer and dance mediator. Since 2016, she has mainly focussed on producing dance pieces for and sometimes with young people. For her, the relationship and difference between the worlds of adults and children is paradigmatic of her interest in being confronted with ways of thinking, moving and feeling that she has forgotten or forgotten as an adult. The encounter of strangers of different ages and abilities is a mirror for the fine threads that connect them and for the creative power that lies hidden in these unusual connections.
