DE_CODING GAME OVER (12+)

Game Over is not an eternal end, but an opportunity for a new beginning.
The stage production De_Coding Game Over, which moves between dance and sound performance, is inspired by the world of video gaming in terms of content, philosophy and aesthetics. The performance is aimed at young people from the age of 12 and ties in with fast-moving parallel worlds. The desire to dive into new and different worlds is also inherent in dance and theater. The artistic team invites you to go on an intermedial journey together: Sound sensors transfer movements into sound and motion capturing transfers movements into 3D videos. Questions about reality, proximity and our own body image are raised:In which worlds do we stay, where do we dive, how do we move there and which challenges do we face? To what extent do avatars change our self-image? While live performers act as avatars, physical and virtual worlds collide.

Mab Cardoso

She works in Hamburg and Berlin. Her work focuses on the intersections of performance, choreography, music, dance and technology. She studied contemporary dance at the University of Bahia, Brazil and Performance Studies at the University of Hamburg.
