For some time now, an uninvited guest has been visiting. Imposing, dominating the conversation for far too long, the trickster has made normality seem further and further away. Where do we go from here? The physical presence of the trickster leaves traces in the space and is deposited in bodies, patterns change, structures, rules and lines cross. The dynamics change, the choreography transforms, change becomes normality and rupture becomes a disappointing, albeit fascinating norm.

 

Damini Gairola

is a freelance performer of Indian origin, based in Hamburg. She has worked with Yolanda Morales, Ursine Tossi (Germany) and Anne Collod (France). She holds a diploma from Attakalari Centre for Movement Arts and Contemporary Dance School Hamburg. Actively involved in the free scene of Hamburg, she hopes to find ways and channels to further bring her ideas, art and cultural knowledge to the forefront of the scene, while contributing to the development of art in the contemporary times.
