COOPERATION IN THE NETWORK
The network is dedicated to expanding the range of programmes for children and young people by presenting and touring stage productions and, above all, mobile pop-up dance pieces. The Pop-Ups are developed by experienced choreographers and teams and can be performed beyond the theatre stage in schools, museums, cultural centres or public spaces. Children and young people are actively involved in all phases of the artistic working processes.
Festivals with expert meetings bundle the productions and offer space for national and international networking opportunities as well as dialogue on cultural and educational policies.
Explore dance - Dance for Young Audiences Network was awarded the 2019 Perspective Prize of the Deutsche Bühnenverein’s German Theatre Award FAUST.

Dance Well
A range of courses for people with Parkinson's disease and, at the same time, further training for dance professionals in this field, supported by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
Dance Well is a unique practice and research project on dance and Parkinson's disease, scientifically accompanied by Fondazione Fitzcarraldo and Fondazione Università Ca' Foscarin. Between 2022 and 2025, six European dance theatres will introduce dance programmes for people with and without Parkinson's disease. The aim of the project is to support choreographers and dancers, as well as the participating dance organisations, in their programming through targeted training and workshops, as well as knowledge transfer among each other.
Over the three years of K3, six trained dance artists will create programmes ranging from dance clubs and movement classes to stage productions.
The participating artists at K3 are Sahra Bazyar-Planke, Fernanda Ortiz, Teresa Hoffmann, Venetsiana Kalampaliki, Muwala Paulo Lando und Azad Yesilmen.
The project is led by Comune di Bassano del Grappa, K3 | Tanzplan Hamburg, Le Gymnase CDCN Roubaix, La Briqueterie CDCN Vitry sur Seine, Tanec Praha, Lithuanian Dance Information Centre, Fondazione Fitzcarraldo and Fondazione Università Ca' Foscari in Venice.

TANZ.NORD
Focus on regional exchange: Since 2021, tanz.nord has been creating a structure for regional exchange and cooperation between the independent dance scenes of Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg, strengthening them in the long term through annually recurring formats.
The tanz.nord Gastspiel Touring initiates a sustainable and regional touring network that is equally open to artists from both federal states. It shows existing productions at venues newly won for dance and increases the visibility of this art form. The tanz.nord Neuproduktion strengthens this network formation by developing a new piece that creates access for audiences with no dance experience.
The twice-yearly network meeting tanz.nord lab offers dance professionals a space for work and networking. In addition, tanz.nord promotes long-term audience development through school partnerships and a performance-accompanying outreach programme.
tanz.nord is also a partner in the network tanz weit draußen. The network supports the development of contemporary dance in rural regions and reduces structural deficits and disadvantages outside the city centres.
tanz.nord Künstler:innen-Netzwerk Hamburg - Schleswig Holstein
is a cooperation project of the Dachverband Freie Darstellende Künste Hamburg (DfdK), K3 - Zentrum für Choreographie | Tanzplan Hamburg, the Tanz und Performance Netzwerk Schleswig-Holstein (TuP.SH) and the Kultur- und Bildungszentrum Bad Oldesloe (KuB).
tanz.nord TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund

Empowering Dance - The Soft Skills Teaching and Learning Approach
A digital guide for dance practitioners to help them identify and teach the soft skills inherent in their artistic practice.
Empowering Dance – The Soft Skills Teaching and Learning Approach is a two and a half year research project (12/20 – 05/23) funded under the EU Erasmus + programme that has investigated how soft skills in dance practice can be identified, articulated and shared with others, as well as positively impact the confidence of those engaging with dance practice.
How we take care of others, deal with uncertainty and complexity and how we negotiate space are just some of the essential human skills, also known as soft skills, that we develop while dancing. These are regarded as some of the most important skills currently needed in society.
For this reason the project has developed a digital guidebook for dance artists, such as choreographers, dance makers and dance teachers, to recognise and communicate the soft skills living in their artistic practice, especially for those working in community and participatory settings.
This resource was created to support the dance artist not only within the dance profession, but also in other fields of work beyond dance. The project builds on the experiences of earlier initiatives (Communicating Dance and Empowering Dance – Developing Soft Skills).
Project Partners are: CSC - Centro per la Scena Contemporanea (Bassano del Grappa, Italy), Dansateliers (Rotterdam, Netherlands), HIPP - Croatian Institute for Movement and Dance (Zagreb, Croatia), K3 | Tanzplan Hamburg / Kampnagel (Germany), La Briqueterie CDCN (Val-de-Marne, France), University of Roehampton (London, UK), University of Zagreb, Academy of Fine Arts (Croatia)
