Si Një Gru (‘like a woman’) combines Kosovar folk dances with hip-hop and contemporary dance, exploring the dialogue between tradition and the present through movement. By transforming traditional, often standardised movements, the performance turns dance into an expression of resistance, strength and self-empowerment.

Chantal "Chanel" Krasniqi

Chantal “Chanel” Krasniqi from Hamburg has been working nationally and internationally as a professional hip-hop dancer, choreographer and performer since 2017. Since 2019, she has made a name for herself particularly in hip-hop freestyle and the international battle scene, winning several battles across Europe and serving as a judge in various countries. As a performer, Chanel has appeared in productions such as Insight, directed by Saïdo Lehlou, and in Die Antwort livestream. She also created the autobiographical dance piece Grua, which has been performed in Germany, Sweden and England.
