KICK OFF: DANCE (IN AND) OUT OF THE BOX!
The DANCE (in and) OUT OF THE BOX! container is opening! The “Community Dance” project brings children and young people together with professional artists of different generations through dance. The mobile container serves as a dance studio, residency space, and workshop all in one, and will be stationed at various locations over the next three years.
On opening day, there will be workshops, and students from the Wilhelmsburg neighborhood school will present the results of their workshops and invite visitors to take a guided tour of the school. Everyone is invited to join in cutting the ribbon.
Program:
10:00 | School tour (Starts at the entrance, led by students)
11:00 | Body percussion workshop (Sarah Lasaki)
11:30 | Opening (including welcome remarks & body percussion)
12:00 - 12:30 | Workshop showcase (students)
13:30 - 15:00 | Classism workshop (Verena Brakonier, Greta Granderath; open to guests and teachers; Class 5a joins at 14:00)
