Core elements of this workshop are the creative power of togetherness and individuality. Using a range of tools and improvisational exercises, the class encourages participants to explore different movement intensities and qualities. Participants will practice memorizing movement phrases and develop techniques to improve improvisation skills. Some activities will involve partner work with physical contact. The main goal is to help each individual achieve a higher level of proficiency in both improvisation and technique.

Blenard Azizaj

was born in Albania and studied dance, dance pedagogy, and choreography at the National State School of Dance in Greece. He has worked with companies such as Sasha Waltz & Guests, the Akram Khan Company and Cie Linga. Azizaj works internationally, performing at festivals around the globe. Furthermore, he works as a dance teacher, teaching his ‘dance dialect’ globally in dance companies, dance & theatre academies and several studios. His latest choreographic work includes »NoBody's Land«, »Fleeting Feathers«, »Walls«, »In the Beginning«, and »Sacred Scars«.
