The course offers the space for partakers to playfully challenge and surprise themselves. The training combines somatic work, a guided exploration of proposed ideas and equally, set material and dives into the organic and fluid power of the body - using weight, momentum and breath. Interplay moves beyond the conventional 'division' of floor and standing material; but rather along pathways travelling through the body, the ground and space; from internal and subtle to big and expansive movement flying through space, surfing one ongoing and energetic wave.

Andrea Hackl

works as choreographer, performer, teacher, visual artist and filmmaker. She cherishes the alchemy between different disciplines, while the human body and its visceral poetry remain at the centre of her work. Throughout her career she danced and toured internationally the works of other makers and her own performative and visual work has been presented at festivals worldwide. Her work “Dreamer” has won the award for BEST INTERDISCIPLINARY LIVE PERFORMANCE at LensDans Festival Brussels 2023.
