Matthias Quabbe
DANCE WRITING QUARTERLY
The poetry of the aimless texts that emerge in choreographic projects as if by chance usually remains hidden, unlike the functional texts in the booklets. Countless notes, small phrases, poetic artefacts that do not attempt to describe in a differentiated way for others, that do not express themselves through dance, but are created with the bodies. They nestle against each other, make spaces perceptible, hint at the trace of the ephemeral and develop their own choreography.
Dance Writing Quarterly is a new meeting place for writing and reading, where the written, scribbled, narrative level of choreographic projects can be spoken, written and (pre-)read.
All languages and scripts are welcome, communication in German and English
