THE FRUITS OF OUR TREES
The Fruits of our Trees creates a space full of potential for intimacy. The audience enters this space, which resembles another universe: Time seems to move differently, one's own body feels strange at first and at the same time safe – because this space belongs to those who have created it. Together with her performers, Sahra Abbassi searches for intimacy and its potential in self-determined spaces created by BIPoC FLINTA persons. How do people tell each other stories, listen to each other, hold each other, sing and dance together – and how does the performer stay with herself at the same time? Forms of expression from contemporary dance and ballroom culture come together to create an intimate atmosphere between the performers and with the audience.
