Juste Debout is making a triumphant return! In a historic twist, the grand finale of this iconic gathering of the world's best dancers will unfold in Hamburg for the first time. Picture the Sporthalle Hamburg turning into a dance cauldron, hosting over 140 phenomenal dancers in hip hop, popping, locking, and house categories, battling it out in thrilling 2 versus 2 showdowns. This event is a game-changer for many dancers, propelling them into the spotlight of their careers. Just look at past winners like Ben P Wichert, now the artistic director of the Hamburg HipHop Academy, or Les Twins, who skyrocketed to global fame touring with Beyoncé after their 2011 victory. Dance legends Loïc, Slim Boogie, Sekou Heru, and Les Twins will grace the finale as judges, welcoming dancers from around the world who'll descend upon Hamburg for this epic showdown. Fulfilling the circle - the dancers and judges are finaly brought back from the canceled event in 2020.The grand finale is part of the Hip Hop Dance Week at Kampnagel, a festival curated by artistic director Bruce Ykanji with the support of the local hip-hop community. Expect battles, panels, lectures, workshops, and unforgettable parties.Awareness at the eventIt is important to us to make all rooms safer spaces so that everyone feels comfortable. Conversations and actions with those around you should only take place with mutual consent, i.e. according to the consensus principle.Fashion is empowerment, not just clothing. For many, clothing and free physicality represent a form of empowerment. Everyone should feel comfortable in the clothes they wear and therefore should not be commented on.No photos & videos without permission. Do not photograph people without their express permission.Ask for pronouns. You cannot see a person’s gender identity.
