Emoting Bodies is an experimental training based on somatic practices, contemporary dance and dance fabulation* that develops into sensual and powerful presence and improvisation. It focuses on the ability to feel and speak and develops a practice of cultivating and transforming feelings and verbal descriptions into a subversive tool. In open compositions and forms, distance and proximity, breath and touch, voice and storytelling are combined.

* Dance fabulation is a derivation of the term audio description. It is part of Ursina Tossis practice which deals with the aesthetics of access.

Ursina Tossi

Dance artist, combines current political themes with intense physicality. Boundaries and concepts in relation to gender, animality and technology are bound together. She studied dance and philosophy and completed the MA of Choreography at the ArtEZ in Arnhem. Since 2010 she is part of Treffen Total and teaches contemporary dance and choreography (in the MA Performance Studies and at the CDSH in Hamburg).
