IMPACT, POTENTIAL AND PERSPECTIVES OF DANCE FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES - 5 YEARS EXPLORE DANCE
28 dance productions for children and youths, over 400 national and international shows as well as a similarly high number of accompanying outreach programmes - since 2018, explore dance as a network of dance for young audience has been dedicated to making contemporary dance permanently accessible at the interface of reception and cultural education. In urban conurbations and rural areas, the dance pieces are shown in classrooms, galleries, theatres, meeting centres and public spaces.
On the occasion of the network's fifth anniversary, Culture Concepts has conducted an evaluation of the resonance of explore dance. With a view to the results, the panel talks about the effective spaces, the potentials and the perspectives of the field of dance for young audiences, which is still young in Germany.
