INITIATING CONVERSATIONS

In what ways can we initiate conversations with our audience, be it during the production process, after a performance, or on a specific topic related to our work? This workshop is about structuring situations and spaces that encourage conversation. We will explore formats developed by the Secret Dramaturgical Society and create our own. The focus will be on the practice and on the needs of the participants, which we will examine together: Who is our target audience? What is the goal of the exchange? Which general structures are already in place, and what is flexible and can be shaped? The workshop is designed for artists, students and all who wish to initiate dialogue.

Geheime Dramaturgische Gesellschaft

The Geheime Dramaturgische Gesellschaft (GDG) is a group of professional discussion initiators and is made up of people who are active both as artists and as communicators. The GDG works at (theatre) festivals and working meetings, initiates conversations about performances and the conditions and structures for their production and presentation, observes festivals and their structures, organises and moderates discussions and gives workshops.
