HIPHOP & DANCE CONTACT FOR ADULTS

In the workshop with Azad and Juli, the basics from the style of New Style Hustle "Guiding" and "Following" will be learned. The theme of contact meets hip hop and improvisation. In rhythm, in contact and in couple dance, spectrums of dancing together and principles of leading and following are explored, in pairs, in the group, in changing couples - completely without the man-leads-woman-follows cliché. The basic steps of the "New Style Hustle" are learned together. This is a fresh approach to couple dancing in which both dancers have identical steps. Anyone can dance with anyone. Come in pairs - but also all single curious dancers: Let yourself be surprised by this early dance evening!

Azad Ümit Yesilmen

is a dancer and part of the national and international urban dance scene. Various dance styles such as popping, house, voguing, breaking, new style hustle and hip hop form the basis of his work.

Azad is part of the Dance Well project. Print his course he focuses on time. By slowing down, he learns that new spaces are opening up in order to get out of the rhythm of everyday life and experience oneself and their surroundings more vividly.

Julika Schlegel

(*1994) has been working as an artistic collaborator in the visual and performing arts since 2015. Her focus is on artistic works that are visionary, forward-looking and have added value for people. Today, she specialises in dance productions in Hamburg's independent scene.
