NEON GESTURES
VIDEOINSTALLATION
In the Khmer tradition, dance is a sacred ritual. Dancers are the messengers between the worlds. The movements take shape with meditative slowness, the fragile curves of the body are reminiscent of undulations from nature, and the flow of the gestures shows the cycle of life that never ends.
The ritual is transported into today's technological reality. Under neon light, it nevertheless constantly carries the original idea.
