INTIMACY AND TOUCH IN CONTEMPORARY DANCE

Teenagers need alternative narratives to the sexualized flood of digital images and pornographic material. What perspectives can we provide on an artistic level? The workshop offers insights into the research process to the new production xoxo (AT), which deals with alternative forms of sex education and presents practical exercises on dealing with touch and intimacy in contemporary dance.

Sebastian Matthias

works as a choreographer at venues such as Kampnagel, Tanzhaus NRW, Luzerner Theater, Festival Tokyo and Corpus/Royal Danish Ballet. He received his doctorate from the HafenCity University Hamburg and developed his artistic-academic research practice as an associated K3 artist as part of the Assembly and Participation post-graduate program.
