Carolin Jüngst | Lisa Rykena
OH... SPLAAAASH!
In Oh... Splaaaash!, Jüngst & Rykena translate the aesthetics of comic books onto the stage and let super heroes encounter mythological figures such as Amazons. For their new production She hulk (AT), which premieres at Kampnagel in late November, the Hamburg choreographers Carolin Jüngst and Lisa Rykena are hosting a workshop. Together with participants, they will present the preliminary choreographic results of their research on sheroes and the queer potential of comic books, while also creating space for open experimentation.
Carolin Jüngst & Lisa Rykena have been working as a collective since 2016 and are both also independent performers and choreographers in their own right. Their joint work deals with queer-feminist body discourses. Their last piece together Arie/Elle was created in 2018 as part of the Limited Edition residency at K3.
