DANCE WITH SCHOOL

The Round Table Dance with School has resumed meeting on a regular basis as a part of the new project explore dance – Dance for Young Audiences Network, providing interested teachers, as well as (dance) pedagogues with the chance for exchange and discussions about dance for young audiences.  In addition to every meeting revolving around a specific, alternating topic, the Round Table also offers exclusive visits to rehearsals and conversations with artists. The Round Table aims to develop ideas together on how to sustainably embed dance in schools.
This edition provides a first look at the rehearsals of choreographer Sebastian Matthias, whose newest production for teens xoxo (AT), premiering 14 November at K3, deals with forms of sex education.

Sebastian Matthias

works as a choreographer at venues such as Kampnagel, Tanzhaus NRW, Luzerner Theater, Festival Tokyo and Corpus/Royal Danish Ballet. He received his doctorate from the HafenCity University Hamburg and developed his artistic-academic research practice as an associated K3 artist as part of the Assembly and Participation post-graduate program.
