HAUS, KEIN HAUS
Increasingly, our daily life is characterized by mobility. We are constantly in motion. In her newest piece, choreographer Antje Velsinger follows the trail of this phenomenon in collaboration with visual artist Janina Arendt, sound artist Katharina Kellermann and performer Maya Weinberg, to uncover a fundamental paradox: It has become almost impossible to think about movement and standstill as opposites. Like never before, we are today able to experience activity, while simultaneously being inactive physically, thanks to the internet and mobile telecommunications.HAUS, KEIN HAUS uses the stage as a laboratory to combine everyday things, objects and human bodies into movement machines used to explore different constellations. What sets us in motion? When do we move things? What role does staying play?
