INTEAM
What constitutes community? What connects & divides people? Which practices characterize togetherness? How can people come together in these times? Can community be renegotiated in dance?
For the trilogy INTEAM, choreographer, dance pedagogue and associated K3 artist Patricia Carolin Mai has received the three-year conceptual funding of the Hamburg Ministry of Culture and Media. From 20/21 to 22/23, Patricia and her team of six collaborators will be exploring community practices together with Hamburg residents of all ages. To kick off the project, they are creating a choreographic installation in the rooms of MARKK until May 2021, which deals with bodies in states of madness and how society deals with them.
WAHN is a production by Patricia Carolin Mai; co-produced by K3│Tanzplan Hamburg. Funded by Behörde für Kultur und Medien Hamburg, Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg, Bezirksamt Hamburg-Nord, Hamburgische Kulturstiftung and Rudolf Augstein Stiftung. Supported by the NATIONAL PERFORMANCE NETWORK - STEPPING OUT, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media within the framework of the initiative NEUSTART KULTUR.
