TANZHOCHDREI 2023
In March, K3 presents the world premieres of the three choreographers in residence Eng Kai Er, Enad Marouf and Aloali'i Tapu on one festival weekend as part of TanzHochDrei. At the end of their eight-month residency, all those curious and interested in dance will have the opportunity to see their pieces created during the residency. The performances will be accompanied by a programme of workshops and warm-ups, lectures and discussions, audience talks and introductions that will provide insights into the topics and working methods of the artistic researches and the pieces.

Aloali'i Tapu
is a Samoan stage, design and dance artist from Aotearoa/New Zealand and co-founder of the Ta'alili Arts Group. He works with artists who specialise in street dance and traditional Pacific dance. He has worked as a mentor and youth worker and studied contemporary dance at UNITEC (New Zealand). For his work as a dancer with Christoph Winkler, he was awarded the FAUST Prize of the German Stage Association.
Enad Marouf
is a Syrian-German performance and video artist living in Berlin. He holds an MA in Choreography and Performance from the Institute of Applied Theatre Studies in Giessen. His solo works and collaborations have been shown at the Athens Biennale, Kunstenfestivaldesarts, Sophiensælen, Centre Français de Damas, Tate Modern, Art Institute of Chicago and Shedhalle Zurich, among others.
Kai Er Eng
is a choreographer and performer from Singapore. In Singapore, she was supported by The Substation's Directors' Lab and was an Associate Artist at TheatreWorks. She was the founder of the experimental performance studio Make It Share It and studied MA Choreography and Performance at the Institute of Applied Theatre Studies in Giessen. She is interested in sport, intimacy and touch.
