DIVERSITY IN CONTEMPORARY DANCE
Same or different? From synchronous unity, in which everyone moves as identically as possible, to the simultaneity of many solos, contemporary dance unfolds a wide range of possibilities and incorporates the diversity of many different physicalities. What aspects characterise individual movement? How do similarity and difference express themselves in dance? What is the power of unison among dancers and spectators? What is so fascinating about diversity and what does it consist of? Video examples from different choreographies complement the personal experience by providing theoretical knowledge from the field of theatrical dance.
