K3 Hamburg

LIMITED EDITION 2022

The Limited Edition format gives young Hamburg choreographers the opportunity to develop first works of their own. They rehearse in the K3 studios and then present their productions together on the stage of Kampnagel over the course of two evenings in June. Not only are the topics that the dance scene in Hamburg deals with diverse, but so are the people involved. This is also reflected in the choreographers of Limited Edition. Damini Gairola completed her training as a professional dancer at the Contemporary Dance School Hamburg in 2021 during the pandemic, having already received a diploma from the Attakalari Centre for Movement Arts in Bangalore. Alexander Varekhine has a background in dance education and already began developing his own choreographies after studying at the Erika Klütz School, where he also currently teaches theatrical dance and dance pedagogy. Kattalin Newiger Mitxelena graduated in 2021 with a Master in Performance Studies in Hamburg after studying dance and choreography. As a multimedia artist, she is part of the b/w*itch collective and researches various topics based on a queer-feminist approach.

Damini Gairola, Alexander Varekhine and Kattalin Newiger Mitxelena can now pursue their interest in developing their own choreographies on a larger scale as part of Limited Edition. They will be working at K3 Studios from April to June. On 24 & 25 June, all three productions can be seen on both evenings. They can be watched back-to-back or individually.
