ATTENTION! Unfortunately, the Jaguar performances at Kampnagel have been canceled. Therefore the masterclass also won't take place.
In this master class, dancer and choreographer Andreas Merk – co-creator of the piece Jaguar with Marlene Monteiro Freitas, currently being shown Kampnagel – will give insight into approaches and methods. For this piece, Merk and Monteiro were equally inspired by the Cape Verde carnival, as well as by the Blaue Reiter, E.T.A. Hoffmann’s stories and the works of Adolf Wölfli, which they translate as marionettes to the stage. The class will cover and delve more deeply into the duo’s specific approach to material development and choreographic work.
