Antje Pfundtner in Gesellschaft, In the context of Choreography of the neighbourhood - a Tanzfonds Partner Project
NIMMEREvery one of us can tell stories about things or people that or who have disappeared: in a sudden, mysterious, sad, surprising or intentional way – simply gone. But did anyone really see them go? Once I asked a child: “Do you know how things disappear?“ and the child answered: “How could I, cause suddenly it’s just gone. Maybe it didn’t disappear, but simply can’t be found.“
Nimmer is Antje Pfundter’s first choreography dedicated to 6- to 10-year old children. Together they make the performance disappear and challenge believing one’s eyes too easily. This coming autumn, Antje Pfundtner will expand the question posed in her new piece and explore the rules of disappearing with an adult audience.
