This dynamic contemporary dance class blends various styles and movement aesthetics in order to enrich participants’ physical vocabulary and enhance their body awareness and coordination. The warm-up prepares the body for deep movement exploration. Then, participants engage in diverse exercises, including floor work, set phrases, improvisation and playful choreographic sequences. The structured material allows dancers to express their unique physicality, personal musicality, and individual movement character.

Tamae Yoneda

is a contemporary dancer from Osaka, Japan, based in Berlin. She is the founder of the dance company Amaiame. Although her background is mainly in contemporary dance, she is very interested in and constantly exposes herself to other dance disciplines. Tamae's main focus is to understand how body movement can be used as a tool to express deep human emotions that resonate with everyone, regardless of their origin or background.
