The training uses practices of inner martial arts such as Qi Gong and Gong Fu, focussing on creating a grounded, connected and available body. A special attention is also placed on partner work inspired by tai chi and wrestling. We will research an evolving language, which enables listening and receiving, in order to create a diverse yet rooted physical conversation of bodies. Simple task-based exercises are applied to develop a martial language that allows creative and intuitive movement in a safe environment.

Nicolas Knipping

is a Berlin-based martial artist. He spent his youth in professional olympic wrestling, worked as a trainer and movement teacher, obtained a bachelor's degree in sports and economics, learnt holistic movement theory and currently studies internal martial arts at the Xuan Gong Fu Academy. He is the author of “Will ich nichts verpassen, schließe ich die Augen”, a collection of text and poetry published in 2020. Since 2021, he has been collaborating and performing with choreographer and dancer Yotam Peled.
