This class is an invitation to try out, train, play and challenge oneself through movement. The training combines contemporary dance, floorwork, body awareness and martial arts. The material can be described as raw, with basic acrobatic elements, challenging speed, coordination and spatial orientation. Tools are provided to develop an agile body with an increased ability to react and to confront any circumstances. Expect to dance with a powerful flow of energy, to release tensions and to make a conscient use of space, muscle tonus and unusual coordinations to re-evaluate one’s own physical material.

Raul Martinez

is an award-winning dancer, choreographer, personal trainer and dance teacher. He is the founder of the collectives Los INnato and VAYA Art of Human Movement as well as the festivals La Machine in Costa Rica and Nómada in El Salvador. He worked with the national dance companies of Costa Rica and El Salvador, ADN Dialect in Switzerland and Núcleo Viladanca in Brasil. He was a guest teacher at  Deltebre Danza, Corpo(a)Tera, the dance conservatory of Burgos and the dance university of Costa Rica, amongst others.
