Alexander Varekhine
A LINE IS A CIRCLE TOO
A body in space, many bodies, repeating and multiplying bodies that share space and a moment in time. In A Line is a Circle too, time is delayed to an unbearable degree or fast-forwarded. Again and again it is stretched and manipulated by all means, choreographic movement patterns spiral up into complex cycles, experience lengths and breaks, time becomes circular. Alexander Varekhine is interested in playing with time, with the audience's perception and the shared experience in the theatre space. Time advances and repeats itself, dancing bodies circle, circles become lines, lines become circles.
