K3 offers classes, training and workshops both for members of the general public, who are interested in dance, but do not have any prior experience, as well as professional dance makers and cultural producers:
For members of the general public, K3 regularly offers classes and choreographic workshops in cooperation with the local community college nearby. These courses combine aspects of contemporary dance theory and practice and are held by experienced professional dancers and choreographers.
For dance professionals – dancers, choreographers, dance teachers, dance students, etc. – K3 offers various classes and workshop formats every season:
Professional training is offered between September and June in form of weekly open classes at the K32 studio from 10:30 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday. Classes are taught by a weekly rotating selection of internationally experienced teachers. Training covers contemporary dance techniques and somatic practices, as well as improvisational formats and ballet for contemporary dancers. The programme is curated by Kerstin Kussmaul (Vienna). In addition, K3 offers artistic workshops for professional dance makers that run over several days and one-day master classes held by internationally renowned artists.
Courses on practical production skills for professionals and students in the fields of dance and culture focus on aspects such as writing proposals and fundraising, theatre technology, dramaturgy, strategies of communication and public relations, production management and general management.
